Student auctions off virginity for college fund

Question:

On the Aristotlean framework, is Natalie Dylan's action right or wrong?

For obvious reasons, it is just plain wrong. No matter how much you weigh the rights and the wrong. Dylan does this to earn more that ₤2.5 million for her college fund and says that this is only a one night stand. The thing about the situation is that trying to earn money for her college fund is the only positive thing I can find in the situation, other than that, it's purely negative. Reason one, this auction in my view is a result of her laziness, a very sorry excuse for her laziness. There are a lot of other ways she can earn money for her college fund without selling herself like that which is called work. She can try a part time job, a lot of students have been able to earn their degree by working themselves off in part time jobs. If not that, there's also scholarships, maybe she could have just tried out for something like that. That won't even require any working, and of course no selling, it only requires that she study really hard to keep her scholarship. Another sorry excuse for laziness is when she reasoned out that she is doing this because her sister was able to earn her degree after working as a prostitute for three weeks. I don't see what makes her any different from her sister in this case? Even if she states that it is only a one night stand, the two are no different in my opinion. Another bad thing I see in this case is that she is trying to get through college the easy but wrong way. Also, even though it is only a one night stand, there is still a lot of possibilities for accidents such as unwanted pregnancy and even sexually transmitted diseases. In such a young age, this so called one night stand, even though it would provide her with the college fund she needs, can also turn things around and destroy the good future ahead of her which I have stated in the previous statement. Lastly, it's a very scary thought whenever I think that a lot of people have already read the said article because if a lot of people have indeed read of her case, they may think that it is actually okay if they do the same thing or work as a prostitute to earn money. It's really plain scary to think of the possibility that just because of the action of one person, things would change and boom! More prostitutes and people selling off their virginity are born.

To wrap it up, her action is simply wrong no matter how much I look through it in my view and in Aristotle's view. The negative parts of her action is a lot heavier than the positive effect of it on her. Especially the possibilities of bad consequences which are STDs and unwanted pregnancy. Selling her virginity on my observation is an excess of laziness and deficiency of self-respect. It is an excess of laziness because she can do other things that does not require her selling virginity such as working and applying for scholarships and it is a deficiency of self-respect because she is willing to sell her virginity just like that. I perfectly understand that she wants to finish college and earn her degree but again, there are a lot of other things she can do. Furthermore, if it is not a lack of self-respect, it could be a lack of pride or lack of respect from others. For example, if she has a boyfriend, what would he think? He may ask for sexual intercourse and reasons out that she has already done it with a perfect stranger and so there's no problem with doing it with someone she knows anymore and such.
